Service Technician Job Description
More Farm Stores is now one of the largest Kubota dealers in Indiana. With our continued growth, we are looking to expand our service department. We are looking for an experienced Diesel Technician and/outdoor power equipment technician. If this is you, we would love to talk.

More Farm Store is seeking a motivated and skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. Successful applicants possess the knowledge and skills to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment safely and effectively.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal
candidate will have experience working with heavy machinery and possess strong
mechanical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repair on gas and diesel engines, heavy equipment, tractors, excavators, skid steers, utility equipment, and zero turns.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and propose solutions.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Use power tools to disassemble and reassemble machinery parts.
- Repair hydraulics and other systems as needed.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Familiarity with farm machinery is a plus.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair techniques.
- Experience with hydraulic repair and air hydraulic systems.

Candidate must be great at multitasking and demonstrate a basic understanding of the selling process with excellent organization, communication, and customer service skills
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Parts Counter Salesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail working environments and possess strong communication, organization and customer service skills. This job entails a mix of front-of-house and back-of-house responsibilities on a daily basis
Responsibilities:
- First to answer phone calls; communicate with customers, be the face of the company when customers enter the front door
- Receive shipments from trucks and check them in both physically and in the computer
- Oversee parts sales process from start to finish
- Monitor back orders and contact manufacturers accordingly – keeping organized communication records
- Sell parts over the counter and to our other departments
- Maintain accurate inventory through billing, orderliness and cleanliness in the parts department – keep your area clean and organized, keeping up with trash, boxes etc.
- Process accurate invoices
- Lookup parts information and provide answers to parts inquiries based from images of equipment breakdowns/diagrams from each manufacturer’s provided parts catalogs
- Provide quotes and fill orders for customers, work orders, our other locations, etc
- Receive and distribute/put away parts on stock orders
- Stock shelves and displays
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License
- High school diploma required, College degree is a plus
- Self-starter mentality, ability to learn and thrive in fast-pace setting
- Candidate has experience working both independently and in a team setting
- Candidate must be comfortable lifting/processing shipments and getting their hands dirty while also balancing office/clerical tasks on the computer using our business system daily
- Familiarity with farm machinery or our other brands is a plus!
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn our customers needs and the equipment we service and sell is a must. Must be willing to learn our industry needs and standards

More Farm Store is seeking a motivated and skilled Road Mechanic to join our team. Successful applicants possess the knowledge and skills to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment at the customer’s location safely and effectively.
Job Overview:
This position will perform efficient and thorough mechanical repairs, or maintenance primarily at the customer’s home or job site and occasionally in the shop.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures at job sites
- Technical troubleshooting capabilities
- Motivation in a deadline-driven environment
- Perform preventive maintenance and advanced repairs
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
- Abiding by safety standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Certificate acquired through a vocational or technical school

Required Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with diesel equipment and/or heavy construction equipment with a working knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, and electronic/electrical systems.
- Ability to work in an outdoor setting which could include inclement weather.
